Streamline Your Workflow with ProLaw®'s Report Automation

ProLaw® offers powerful tools to automate your reporting processes through three core components: Report Shortcuts, Report Queues, and the ProLaw® Agent.

Report Shortcuts: Your Reporting Foundation

Report Shortcuts pair specific queries with their corresponding reports, eliminating the need to run queries and reports separately.

Creating a Report Shortcut:

  1. Navigate to the desired module and access the Query View.
  2. Create and execute your query.
  3. Configure groupings, sorting, and page breaks.
  4. Preview the report to ensure accuracy.
  5. Click "Create Shortcut" and provide a descriptive name.

Report Queues: Batch Reporting Made Easy

Report Queues bundle multiple Report Shortcuts into a single automated process.

Setting Up a Report Queue:

  1. Go to the Report Queue tab within the Reports section.
  2. Assign a descriptive name and specify the "Send To" destination.
  3. Add the desired Report Shortcuts to the queue.
  4. Configure the "Include if Blank" option.

ProLaw® Agent: Your Automated Taskmaster

The ProLaw® Agent is a built-in task scheduler that automates various ProLaw® functions including report generation.

Configuring the ProLaw® Agent:

  1. Access System Preferences from the ProLaw® taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Agent Schedule tab.
  3. Select the task type from the dropdown (e.g., Report queue, iSQL script).
  4. Set the start date, time, and configure recurrence with the "Run Every" option.

Running the Agent: Create a shortcut to ProLaw.exe with the /agent parameter and run it on a dedicated server or workstation.
